History

After many weeks of bonding exclusively with you and your family, the idea of returning to work and putting the care of your child in someone else’s hands can be an anxiety ridden experience. Will this person be able to devote the right amount of attention to my child? Will he/she help stimulate and monitor my child’s growth? Will I be able to afford someone who can truly give my child the love and attention he or she needs?

Like many of you, owner Ana Galvez was torn by the idea of returning to work and spending time away from her children. She became devoted to finding a place where she could feel confident that her children would be well attended to and stimulated to grow. Following the birth of her second child, Mrs. Galvez shifted from finding the best day care provider to becoming the service that she spent so many years searching for, creating Ana’s House Day Care in 1988. Ana’s House has been in business for over 20 years, serving families and children aged 8 weeks to 5 years. Ana’s House was designed to serve as an alternative to the typical child care center environment. Ana’s House takes place entirely in a home setting and maintains a smaller group of children exclusively in the infant to pre-school age range. We believe every child that comes in becomes part of the Ana’s House family. This allows us to give your child the direct one-on-one attention he or she needs in these crucial first years of life. Over the course of her 20+ years in business, Mrs. Galvez has watched over 100 children. She has seen many generations of families pass through her door. Her decades of involvement in the industry has provided a wealth of experience in early child hood development and education.

Ana’s House Day Care is a fully licensed day care with the State of Maryland. We also hold a number of memberships in other community and industry-related organizations, including:
